About
Design patterns are names for solutions that keep showing up. Knowing them won't write your game for you, but it gives you a vocabulary for structuring code that has to survive months of feature requests, playtests and late-night fixes.
This site collects 21 patterns that matter in day-to-day Unity work — the classic Gang of Four patterns plus game-specific ones like Object Pooling, Dirty Flag and Spatial Partition. Each page explains what the pattern is, when to reach for it, and when not to.
Every pattern comes with an interactive demo: press the buttons, watch the objects talk to each other, and read the console output. The code tab shows idiomatic Unity C# you can adapt for your own project.
Patterns are tools, not rules. The best code is the simplest code that solves today's problem and leaves room for tomorrow's — sometimes that's a pattern, and sometimes it's a plain if statement.
